All Charles Daly pump shotgun receivers are machined from solid bars of aluminum alloy to create a lightweight yet exceptionally strong and versatile shotgun that will handle 2 3/4" and 3" shells reliably. The 3 1/2" receiver is not a 3" receiver built and modified for 3 1/2" shells, but has been built from the ground up to be a 3 1/2" chamber. Interchangeable barrels are machined from Chrome-Moly steel, guaranteed to withstand steel shot and the extra power of a 3 1/2" load. The VR-MC models feature ventilated ribs and come standard with 1 multichoke tube. The Maxi-Mag models feature factory porting that reduces perceived and felt recoil. Recoil pads and quick detachable sling swivel studs are supplied with every Daly pump shotgun.

A good, solid gun. We took it out for my son to shoot prior to doing anything to it, to see how it functions out of the box. The gun felt good to him, fit him well and shot well. The pump action was secure and not sloppy like a Mossberg we tried out of the box. However, the pump was tight to eject the shells, until we lubed it and dry pumped it many times. I recommend taking it apart right away and cleaning and lubing it properly, then sliding the pump arm over and over while holding the release lever down to open the chamber repeatedly, until it slides well. Probably took 50 or 60 repetitions to loosen it sufficiently for now. Solid and good value. Would recommend this gun, especially at this price.
