Unbelievably sharp, right out of the box! I have a varied collection of knives, some of exotic S30V steel, but none can compare to this knife (except Swedish Mora which doesn''t come as a folder).
Although, I believe this size is the perfect blend of blade length and weight, I have ordered the Ka-bar Dozier Mini and Large Folding Hunters because I was so impressed with this one! I particularly, like the thumb hole version because I can open it with one hand.
Even the Zytel plastic handles are well shaped and finished for a good, positive grip. I''d much rather see the money put into the blade than into the grip so that Ka-bar can offer such an excellent cutter at a budget price.
Did I mention that the black blade and blaze orange handle look great together as well as being easy to find if dropped at a campsite as the sun sets?
