In 1875 Charles Daly and August Shoverling began importing sporting goods, hardware and firearms in New York City. Years later they were joined by Joseph Gales and formed the company Shoverling, Daly & Gales. However, as the company continued to grow they changed their name to Charles Daly in an attempt to make their firearms more recognizable.
Although Charles Daly passed away in 1899, the company continued on under the partnership until 1919, when the partnership sold the company. In 1996, K.B.I. Inc took over and continued the tradition of selling custom crafted firearms, calling themselves “The Shooting Sports Specialist.” Under the new ownership, the Charles Daly line expanded to include over-and-under and side-by-side shotguns as well as Charles Daly 1911 pistols.
Over the years, such companies as Beretta, Miroku, Bernadelli and Garbi have all had their firearms imported and sold under the Charles Daly name. Today, the Charles Daly collection carries an extensive line of value priced semi-automatic and pump shotguns to meet the needs of all hunting and sport shooting enthusiasts.
